The Sleep Sense™ Method, created by Dana Obleman in 2003, has already helped thousands of parents just like you teach their children healthy sleep habits. It was my strong belief in Dana’s system that inspired me to become a professional sleep consultant, and I look forward to helping you and your family achieve the same results that my recent clients have been enjoying. Here are some letters from them:

“You guys!! Get yourself a sleep consultant like Erin! I still can’t believe our results! We are the parents of one amazing little boy whom we love with all our hearts, BUT he has never been a great sleeper. At 18 months he was still up 1-2 times a night. Sometimes we had to rock him back to sleep, sometimes we took him to bed with us, and other times we headed to the living room at 3am because he was wide awake and wanting to play. We were also struggling with naps. Since he got such interrupted sleep at night he was ready for a nap already by 9-10am. We never knew if he would then take an afternoon nap or if he would just be overtired by supper time. I dreaded fighting naps. I dreaded going to bed because I knew we would be up before too long. We had come to just accept this as our life for the foreseeable future and then we heard from Erin. She took our sleep issues even more seriously than we did and assured us that this was something that could be fixed. Not gonna lie, I doubted that her 14 day sleep plan would work with our particularly stubborn sleeper but she seemed confident. I am a nurse and I don’t trust anyone easily but she had science and facts to back up all of her suggestions. I’m also a first time mom and not a fan of the cry it out method. Erin informed us this was not her approach. Within only a couple nights we no longer were getting up! If he woke up, he put himself back to sleep within a minute! We were waking up before our alarms now that we were getting such a full night’s sleep! We also were able to consolidate to one nap.  Now our little guy literally jumps into bed for naps and night time. He knows the routine and is eager for bed. Erin knew what she was doing! She was sympathetic, compassionate, knowledgeable, quick to respond to any questions, and genuinely interested in each day’s progress. AND–now that we are rested human beings we want to spread the word to all sleep-deprived parents!”  -Brittany, Brandon and Beckham
“Googling sleep plans and holding myself accountable to following them was not working. Within 5 days, Erin had out 14-month-old (and his parents!) sleeping through the night. After a comprehensive questionnaire and preliminary phone call, Erin created a plan that was specific, easy to follow, and personalized for our family. She tracked our progress in a shared google doc and texted or called with encouragement or suggestions. At the end of the process, she gifted us sleep guides for future uses. The whole process could not have been better. Thank you, Erin!” -Caroline and John

“After 6 plus months of having night after night of sleep disruption, I met Erin, and she was finally able to bring us peaceful nights again.  Our daughter was brought up on the sleep sense program, so sleep always came easy and without a struggle.  At about 2.5 years old, she would resist bedtime, stall, and get our of her bed (since we had converted it) over and over again.  Once she was finally down after a lot of arguing, negotiating etc, she would also wake multiple times a night, and would still barely hit 6am when she woke up for the day. Erin took time to listen to everything that was going on, and gave us very prescriptive advice on what to do in each situation we encountered.  Everything she said just made sense, and I felt very supported.  Her strategies worked within the first few days!  I thought this would never get fixed and it would be a problem forever, until we met Erin!” -Shaina and Demi

“If you are looking for help getting your infant or toddler’s sleep patterns sorted out, then you’ve come to the right place!  Erin was instrumental in helping our son develop excellent sleep skills.  At around 18 months our son developed severe sleep regression, which was having a negative impact on him and his working parents.  After trying to sort this out on our own, we opted to bring in the experts and contacted Erin.  We should have done this earlier!  Working with Erin was a delight.  We were able to immediately meet with Erin via Zoom and walked through our son’s day-to-day schedule and our current sleep strategy.  Erin was nothing but positive and helpful in reacting to our comments and prepared a comprehensive sleep plan that included incremental schedule adjustments and a plan of action for handling nighttime wakings.  I’ll admit that it was tough on Mom and Dad to adhere to the guidance on wakings, but trust me, it works.  Our boy had a couple of minor speedbumps that are normal and totally expected, but shortly thereafter he was able to either sleep through the night or self-soothe himself.  As parents, I think that we were too reticent to enlist help when we should have done so months prior.  The process works and Erin provides invaluable support as you work through your gameplan.  I’ll note that Erin is very prompt in getting back to any questions or concerns that you may have and is flexible in developing a plan that meets your child’s needs.  As an added bonus, Erin has been a great resource to bounce other sleep related questions off of – how to handle daylight savings time, adjusting schedules as babies grow older, changing sleep approach when your child is ill.  We highly recommend Erin for your sleep consulting needs.” -Patrick and Alec

“Erin with Koalaty Sleep was great! Our son was reaching the 6 month mark and went from sleeping through the night (no sleep training) to suddenly waking almost every hour/two hours for a month. Everything I read talked about getting your baby to sleep but our son had no problem getting to sleep; only staying asleep after about two hours. Erin listened and tailored our program to exactly what we needed. He is now sleeping from 6:30p- 7a and if he wakes he puts himself back to sleep. Thank you Erin for all your help! We would absolutely recommend!” -AJ

“One month after starting sleep training with Erin, I still can’t believe my daughter is putting herself to sleep without crying and sleeping through the night. At 7 months I was still nursing my baby to sleep and that meant I had to do the same thing in the middle of the night when she woke up. My husband tried to help but only nursing would get her back down. I read up on all the methods and looked at the suggested schedules for sleep but had so many what if questions. What if she didn’t nap enough at daycare and the suggested cat nap was supposed to happen as we’re heading home from daycare? What if she wakes up wide away at 5:50am? What if we have to be somewhere when she’s normally nap? This is where Erin was super helpful! She was there to answer these questions in the moment and helped set us up for responding apparently in the future. But, most importantly, she helped us create a plan that worked best for us. Erin helped us shift gears in our style to adjust to what worked best for our daughter. She was sleeping through the night by the third night. Highly recommend!” -Megan

“Thanks for helping us transition from our swings to sleeping in our cribs! We love sleeping in our cribs and are sleeping so well! Mom learned that wake windows and schedules are super important! We highly recommend Miss Erin for all your sleep training needs!” – Homer, Samuel, and Owen
“We were struggling to get sleep with my 10 month old daughter and Koalaty Sleep consulting was amazing! Erin took a holistic approach and recommended a variety of tweaks to help my daughter sleep better! We saw amazing results in just 3-5 days and by day 10 everyone was happy and on a schedule that worked for everyone. We enjoy our bedtime routines now and feel much more confident about how we manage our bedtime and naps! Thank you Erin!” -Ashley
“Erin changed our life!
Our baby isn’t a great sleeper, and she’s been like that since she was born.
When our baby was ~5 months we still had to rock her to sleep for every nap and also bedtime, it could be as little as 5 minutes, or as much as 40, also she was waking up 3~4 times every night. At this point we decided that everybody’s mental health we had to do the training.
After our initial conversation Erin gave us a plan, but us, being the nerds we are, had done our fair share of investigation too. After thinking about it we proposed something different to Erin, that we thought may work better given our personalities. She was supportive all the way through and never felt prescriptive. She wasn’t the director of the plan, she was one more of the team.
I won’t lie to you, sleep training is as hard as people says, and you can read the steps anywhere online, but I honestly don’t think that we could’ve done it without the support of somebody that knows about it. After the first few hard days it was critical for us to have an expert that could guide us to adjust a few things, and had enough experience to compare our journey with what other parents had gone through. The hard days are a lot easier when somebody that knows about it says: “I know it’s hard, but I promise you it’s normal and you’ll make it through”.
Our daughter made great progress immediately, both in quantity and quality of sleep, she was already sleeping through the night after the second night. You can see in the attached picture how immediately she increased the amount of hours she sleeps everyday. After working with Erin we now have time to be a couple and have social lives again. We also feel a lot more comfortable about dealing with our baby’s sleep routine, we know what to do both in good and bad days.

When we were thinking about hiring a sleep consultant a friend told me: “I’ve never met anybody that regrets spending the money on one” and we can 100% vouch for that.

Thank you so much, Erin! -Juan and Amelia

“Thanks Erin for helping us learn all about sleep! We were having some early morning wakings (between 4-6 am) with our then 4 month old and within just a few days our recommendations from Erin worked and he was sleeping past 6 am. She taught us to pay attention to wake windows and make sure that our nightly routine was in an order that made sense for him to put himself to sleep. Erin was also a great help with our daycare and getting them to be on our schedule.” -Britany

“Erin helped us make minor adjustments via email and phone for our 4 year old. We reviewed his sleep environment and habits, she followed up with some questions, which we promptly answered and the answer was clear. We made adjustments to his nap schedule, removed some crutches, and made changes to his sleep environment and bam, he’s sleeping in later than he was a few weeks prior.

When you’re sleep deprived and struggling, it’s hard to see the bigger picture, even if the answer is right there. Everything starts with a good night’s sleep and once you’re out of the newborn phase, you think you will sleep well for the rest of your kid’s life..not so. Give Erin a call if you’re struggling and get a better night’s sleep quickly!” -Matty

“Erin came highly recommended from 2 friends and did not disappoint! After working with another sleep trainer + online sleep guide already – I was at my wits end with a 7 month old that woke 1-2x a night. She was gentle and flexible in her approach (i.e. other ways to achieve sleep success without cry it out alone) and made herself available throughout our engagement and beyond. What made her different from other sleep trainers I’ve worked with is she actually asked the right questions up front (for example, my husband could deal with VERY little crying while I had a higher tolerance) to suggest a strategy that would work best for your family. While my little guy is still learning to make it until 6am in the mornings -we’ve made huge progress and it’s been a game changer for our family.”- Lisa
“Erin was a lifesaver when our 14-month-old still wasn’t sleeping through the night. After an initial phone call where she asked about our current schedule, our preferred schedule, and how we’d like to achieve that schedule, she made a shared google doc where I could chart sleep times, wake times, what we did when baby woke up, what happened when we did those things, etc. Erin would follow my nightly progress on the google doc, and leave comments, send texts, and/or schedule a phone call based on my preferences. Not only did I feel comfortable with the sleep plan we created, I loved being held accountable (because that’s probably what caused the problem in the first place–ha). Within 5 days, baby was sleeping through the night and so was I! After that, Erin sent an email with a bunch of references I might need throughout the next year (what to do during time changes, illnesses, any situation that could disrupt sleep again), which was as thoughtful as it was useful. Thanks again for everything!” -Caroline
“Erin helped me work with my 10 month old daughter at the time as we were all struggling to get a peaceful night rest. She took the time to understand my situation and habits currently that could have been impacting our sleep. She was able to give knowledge, tips, and a plan that I was comfortable trying with my daughter. After about a week, we saw amazing results with the plan and my daughter has been a great sleeper ever since! I wished I reached out earlier because Erin’s support and plan helped us all to sleep better and enjoy our bedtime routines.”- Ashley
“Erin was so helpful! She gave us the confidence and direction we needed to sleep train our little guy. Now our boy is sleeping once a day at the same time 3+ hours and he puts himself to bed at night! Wow! We are impressed!”- Kelsey
“Erin with Koalaty Sleep is fantastic! We worked with her to help my 3 yo overcome some poor sleep habits and it was a game changer. Honestly, we should have called Erin sooner. Erin was knowledgeable, professional, caring to our family’s needs, incredibly responsive, and well worth the cost. If you are considering this service, you cannot go wrong with Erin.” -Jessica
“We would recommend Erin to anyone looking for help with their child’s sleep. At 2 months old our son would only sleep longer than 45 minute stretches if he was being held. We were burnt out from lack of sleep and were needing help. Erin was able to give us a plan tailored to our needs and by night 5 he was sleeping 11 hours, waking up only twice to feed. We had a small hiccup at the end of 2 weeks and Erin suggested we continue for a 3rd week to make sure everyone was comfortable. Now at 4.5 months he falls asleep totally independently, takes all his naps in his crib, and sleeps 12 hours a night waking only once to feed. We are all finally getting good, quality sleep and are all much happier for it!”- Nicole

In addition, I’ve also included some letters written in by parents who have used Dana’s Sleep Sense™ Method in their homes so that you can see they had to say:

“I had a 6 1/2 month old that was up 5 times a night. Now he sleeps 11-12 hours at night and takes two 1 1/2 hour naps each day.

It is so nice to put our 10 month old in his crib and listen to him talk to his stuffed dog before he falls asleep. Within two weeks of starting the program he was sleeping through the night.

At this same time he started mastering his milestones as soon as he started sleeping. I now have a super energetic baby, but he does sleep well. Thank you so much for the program!”  – Beth Quave

“I wanted to thank you for your wonderful manual. I have a baby girl of a year and a half who was very active during the day and was having problems sleeping through the night. Thanks to your program she’s sleeping all night, and though she sometimes wakes up, it is for very little time and she goes back to sleep on her own.

It’s been a blessing for me and my husband, but of course also for her, since she wakes up very happy and goes about her day happier than ever and as active as always, too.”  – Miredly Ramos

“Since getting onto your sleep sense program, Beau has been an angel. It was hard going for about a week or two when we first started, but now he goes to bed without hesitation and sleeps well through the night. It was a blessing to my husband and I.

We have regained our lives – slightly anyway and are back in the land of the living because of the sleep we now get in the night and a bit of a rest in the day.”  – Trev and Beau
